NEW YORK, Jan. 31 (Xinhua) -- DELL said Wednesday it had named Michael Dell as chief executive, effective immediately, to replace Kevin Rollins.

    The computer company said Dell will retain his duties as chairman. Rollins resigned, effective immediately, as chief executive and a member of the board.
