BAGHDAD, Jan. 31 (Xinhua) -- Three U.S. soldiers, including a marine were killed in Iraq's western province of Anbar, the U.S. military said on Wednesday.
The soldiers, assigned to Multi-National Force - West, died Tuesday of wounds sustained due to "enemy action", the military said in a statement.
Since the U.S.-led war on Iraq broke out in March 2003, about 3,085 U.S. soldiers have killed in Iraq, according to media count based on Pentagon figures.

BEIJING, Jan. 22 (Xinhuanet) -- Four U.S. soldiers and a Marine were killed Saturday during combat in Anbar, a roadside bomb struck a security patrol northeast of Baghdad, killing one soldier, 12 soldiers died in a Blackhawk helicopter crash northeast of Baghdad, five were killed in a militant attack in the holy Shiite city of Karbala and two others slain elsewhere in roadside bombings as 25 soldiers were killed in the deadliest day for U.S. troops in Iraq in two years.
The dramatically rising death toll among U.S. forces comes at a critical time of increasing congressional opposition to President Bush's decision to dispatch 21,500 additional soldiers to the conflict.
U.S. helicopter crashes in Iraq, killing 13 aboard
BAGHDAD, Jan. 20 (Xinhua) -- A U.S. forces helicopter crashed northeast of Baghdad Saturday afternoon, killing all 13 people aboard, the military said in a statement.
Emergency Coalition Forces responded and secured the scene, according to the statement.

Thousands march in downtown Los Angeles in anti-war rally
LOS ANGELES, Jan. 27 (Xinhua) -- Carrying dozens of mock coffins covered with America flags, thousands of people took to the street in downtown Los Angeles Saturday, as part of the anti-war protests across the United State to demand the withdrawal of troops in Iraq.
Among the participants in the peace march were Iraq veterans, activists and vocal anti-war protester Cindy Sheehan, who became famous for her extended demonstration at a peace camp outside Bush's Texas ranch after her son Casey was killed during his service in Iraq.
Protesters in Washington demand pullout of U.S. troops from Iraq
WASHINGTON, Jan. 27 (Xinhua) -- Tens of thousands of protesters gathered in Washington on Saturday, demanding the Bush administration withdraw U.S. troops from Iraq.
Speakers at the anti-war rally included such celebrities as actress Jane Fonda and Democratic Representative John Conyers, chairman of the House Judiciary Committee.
