JILIN, Northeast China, Jan. 30 (Xinhua) -- China justified its dominance in the women's biathlon again as Kong Yingchao led teammates for a 1-2-3 finish in the 10km pursuit at the sixth Asian Winter Games here on Tuesday.

Kong crossed the finishing line first with a Chinese national flag in her hand on 36 minutes and 13.93 seconds. Liu Xianying took the silver with 38:02.44 while Dong Xue came in third in 40:13.06.

It is the second time in two days that the Chinese biathletes make the clean sweep of the medals during the Games. In Monday's 7.5km sprint, Liu Xianying claimed the gold medal ahead of Kong and Dong.

"It's my second victory in the event at the Asian Winter Games. I am very delighted this time because I made it on home soil," said Kong, a two-time Olympian.

Kong had a terrific performance in shooting, without missing any target in 20 tries.

"I am very satisfied with my shooting performance, the weather also helped me because it's fine and there was no wind," Kong said.

"I had a little regret yesterday. And I just tried my best today. I am lucky to win because my teammates are also very good skiers," Kong added.

Chinese team manager Wang Wengang said it's more important to produce better result than just winning the gold medal at this Games.

"Kong is amazing in shooting today, hitting all 20 targets is not easy even in the top level international events," said Wang.

"Other Chinese athletes also had good performance today, their results could rank top three in the World Cup events," Wang said. "I hope they can keep on improving under the guide of (German coach) Klaus Siebert and have better performance at the international arena."

Having bagged one gold and one silver, Kong vowed to win more medals in the women's 15km and 4x6km relay, slated for Thursday and Friday respectively.

"I am very confident that I can achieve more in the rest of the Games," said Kong.
