ULAN BATOR, Jan. 25 (Xinhua) -- Mongolia has decided to send 19 athletes for the sixth Asian Winter Games slated for Jan. 28-Feb. 4 in China, a top official of the Mongolian National Olympic Committee said.
The athletes will compete in five events of short-track speedskating, speedskating, cross country skiing, biathlon and slalom, including two biathletes for the first time in their Winter Asiad history, local reports quoted the official as saying on Thursday.
The Monglian athletes have made full prepartion, with some of them training in China, hoping to reap the best from the Games.
Mongolia, who are among the seven teams for the first Winter Asiad in Sapporo, Japan in 1986, only won a bronze medal so far from the second Winter Asiad in 1990.
