HONG KONG, Jan. 17 (Xinhua) -- Hong Kong Agriculture,
Fisheries and Conservation Department (AFCD) Wednesday confirmed that a Crested
Goshawk found dead in Kowloon before was H5N1 positive after a series of
laboratory tests.
The carcass was collected by AFCD staff on the hill
behind Shek Kip Mei Health Center in Kowloon following a public referral on Jan.
9.
A department spokesman reminded people to observe
good personal hygiene.
"They should avoid personal contact with wild birds
and live poultry and clean their hands thoroughly after coming into contact with
them," he said.
