BEIJING, Jan. 13 -- In the Greek capital Athens, where an explosion has gone off at the U.S. Embassy compound.

The explosion was caused by a rocket that was fired from a nearby building and landed in the embassy building on Friday. An embassy spokesman said no one was hurt in the explosion. Police have cordoned off all roads in the area, including a major boulevard in front of the embassy.

The official embassy sign outside the mission has been damaged. But there is little indication of the extent of the damage inside.
