CHANGCHUN, Jan. 11 (Xinhua) -- Iraq will not participate in the upcoming 6th Asian Winter Games in Changchun, China, and that failed the host's efforts of bringing together all the 45 members of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA), organizers said Thursday.

Iraq pulls out of the Winter Asiad due to its domestic situations, the Iraqi Olympic Committee said in an e-mail sent to the organizers of the Winter Asiad.

Organizers said the other 44 OCA members will all send delegations to the eight-day Winter Asiad. Among them, 27 countries and regions will take part in the competitions while the other 17 OCA members will only send their officials to the games.
