The annual El Carnaval del Pais (Argentina's
carnival) was hosted in the town of Gualeguaychu, some 230 km north of Buenos
Aires, Jan. 7, 2007. Festivities include giant parades, dancing, live music
performances and feasting. Around 1000 dancers participate in the event which is
considered to be one of the most important carnivals in Argentina.
