LUSAKA, Dec. 30 (Xinhua) -- Zambian first and former president Kenneth Kaunda said here Saturday that he is terribly angered by the execution of former Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein.
Kaunda said to Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation that British Prime Minister Tony Blair and United States President George W. Bush must focus on how to end the war in Iraq.
Kaunda, who ruled Zambia from its independence in 1964 to 1991,said the execution of Saddam Hussein is not the solution to the many problems in the middle east and specifically, Iraq.
Instead, he said, it may just worsen the tension in Iraq.
