BAGHDAD,
Dec. 26 (Xinhua) -- The death toll of Baghdad's earlier triple car bombing in
Baiyaa neighborhood rose to at least 14 people, with some 45 others injured, an
Interior Ministry source told Xinhua.
Earlier police report said that ten people were
killed and 35 others wounded when three car bombs went off simultaneously at
Baiyaa intersection in southern Baghdad on Tuesday.
In separate incident, at least five people were killed and
15 others wounded when a roadside bomb detonated at a central Baghdad busy
market on Tuesday, the Interior Ministry source said.
"A makeshift bomb went off around midday at the Baghdad
Souq al-Haraj market in Bab al-Sharji area," the source told Xinhua on condition
of anonymity, adding "our initial casualty report said that five people were
killed and 15 others wounded."
Earlier in the day, three roadside bombs exploded in quick
succession killed a police officer and wounded nine people in central Baghdad, a
ministry source said.
