Special report: Tension escalates in Iraq
BAGHDAD, Dec. 22 (Xinhua) -- Gunmen stormed a Sunni mosque in northeastern Baghdad on Friday before the Muslim weekly prayer and kidnapped three worshippers, an Interior Ministry source said.
"Unknown gunmen raided the Abdullah Bin Umer mosque in Bunoug neighborhood and kidnapped the Imam of the mosque with two worshippers," the source told Xinhua on condition of anonymity.
Earlier, the source said that the attackers kidnapped 20 -25 worshippers but he changed his information.
