DOHA, Dec. 14 (Xinhua) -- India beat Malaysia 4-0 in a fifth-sixth place match at the Doha Asian Games on Thursday.

In the 13th minute, Ragunath Vokkalga flicked the ball to net, scoring his ninth goal of the competition and gave India a 1-0 lead in the first half. Rajpal Singh added India's second in the 41st minute after he deflected a Tejbir Singh's shot.

In the second half, India extended their lead to 3-0 with 10 minutes left. Vokkaliga scored from penalty corner and earned his tenth goal of the tournament and ranked him second on the goal scorers' list.

Debutant Gurbaj Singh completed the scoring for India in the 64th minute with his first goal of the competition.

In the seventh-eighth place match, Bangladesh defeated Chinese Taipei 5-1 to finish in seventh. Bangladesh took an early lead in the third minute when Rasel Mahmud Jimmy scored over a mistake by Chinese Taipei's goalkeeper Chen Chih Wei.

Mamunur Rahman then expanded Bangladesh's lead to three goals in the 31st and 37th minute after his drag flicks from the penalty corner were too powerful for Chen.

Chinese Taipei managed to pull a goal back in the 43rd minute from a penalty corner hit by Tsai Ming Heng, but Bangladesh scored two more goals in the 66th and 67th minute to put the game beyond doubt.
