DOHA, Dec. 14 (Xinhua) -- Chinese pair Zhu Minyuan and Yu Lamei seized the gold medal in the women's K2 500m of canoe and kayak competition at the Asian Games here on Thursday.

    The Chinese duo fell behind in the first 250m but managed to finish first in one minute and 46.901 seconds. Japan's Shinobu Kitamoto and Mikiko Takeya took the silver medal in 1:47.385.

    The bronze went to South Korea's Lee Sun Ja and Lee Ae Yeon in 1:48.649.
