DOHA, Dec. 14 (Xinhua) -- Kazakhstan snatched the gold in the men's K2 500m of canoe and kayak competition at the Asian Games here on Thursday.

    Kazakhstan's duo Dmitriy Torlopov and Dmitriy Kaltenberger settled for the gold in one minute and 36.390 seconds, edging Uzbekistan's Sergey Borzov and Aleksey Babadjanov into second place in 1:37.202.

    China's Li Zhen and Zhou Peng seized the bronze in 1:37.594. The Chinese pair had won the gold in the men's K2 1,000m on Monday.
