Two car bombs rock Baghdad neighborhood

    BAGHDAD, Dec. 13 (Xinhua) -- Five people were killed and 10 others wounded when two car bombs went off in quick succession in a commercial area in a Baghdad's southeastern neighborhood on Wednesday, an Interior Ministry source told Xinhua.

    "Two explosive-laden cars detonated at around 1:00 p.m. (10:00GMT) at a busy popular market in the Baghdad al-Jadida neighborhood," the source said on condition of anonymity.  

    "Our first report said that five people were killed and ten others wounded, along damaging many shops and civilian cars," the source added.

    Earlier, at least 10 people were killed and 26 others wounded when a car bomb went off near a mosque in Kamaliyah neighborhood.  

    Violence sweeps Iraqi cities as insurgent attacks, sectarian killings, car bombings, roadside bombs claim dozens of Iraqi lives daily.
