Indonesian president concerned with Asiad results
  12-13 16:07

JAKARTA, Dec. 13 (Xinhua) -- Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono on Wednesday expressed concern with the country's poor showing at the 15th Asian Games in Doha with only two gold medals so far.

"The ranking of our sports achievement is less satisfactory, but I don't want to point finger," the president said at the State Palace here.

Medal drought Indonesia now ranks 21st in the ongoing Asiad, winning only in men's single bowling and men's single badminton.

The poor showing placed Indonesia below Southeast Asian neighbors, such as Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam and the Philippines.

In the upcoming Southeast Asian (SEA) Games in 2007, Indonesia must reach top of the table, warned Susilo.
