    DOHA, Dec. 12 (Xinhua) -- China's sailors on Tuesday won two more gold medals at the 15th Asian Games in Doha.

    China's female sailor Xu Lijia on Tuesday took the gold in the Laser Radial open class of the sailing competition at the Asiad, while Ni Wei swept to the title of the men's Optimist class, bringing China's sailing gold tally to four.

    After the final race of the event on Tuesday on the open sea ofDoha Bay, Xu, 19, ranked first in the Laser Radial open class witha two-point lead over her male rival Koh Seng Leong from Singapore,who won the silver.

    "I'm very proud of myself that I won the gold in the competition with male sailors," Xu, who is the only female in the open class, told reporters Tuesday afternoon at the Doha Sailing Club after returning from the competition at Doha Bay.

    At the press conference on Tuesday evening, Xu said the Asian Games was a good experience for her to prepare for the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

    "I have made progress at the Asian Games, which is a good experience," Xu said.

    Meanwhile, 15-year-old Ni Wei came out first with a strong leadin the men's Optimist class with a net-point of 14, while the silver medalist, Navee Thamsoontorn from Thailand, just finished with a net-point of 33, 19 points behind Ni Wei's final result.

    On Monday, China's Chen Lina won the women's Mistral class and her teammate Yao Xinhao claimed the men's Mistral heavy class.

    Singaporean sailors took two gold medals on Tuesday in the men's Laser standard class and the Laser 4.7 open event, while Malaysian Tan Rufina Hong Mui got the gold in the women's Optimistclass.

    The other six golds will be decided on Wednesday.
