    DOHA, Dec. 11 (Xinhua) -- South Korea broke the Asian Games record of the men's cycling team pursuit in the qualifying stage at the 15th Asiad here on Monday.

    The South Korean quartet clocked four minutes and 14.534 seconds to break the Games' record of 4:20.292, set by Kazakhstan in Busan, South Korea in 2002.

    "We were all in good forms. For us, the priority today was to qualify for the final. We did not think too much about the record," said South Korean Jang Sun Jae.

    The 2005 and 2006 Asian Championships gold medalists will startthe gold medal race with confidence as they have two ace cyclists Jang Sun Jae and Hwang In Hyeok, gold and bronze medalist of the men's 4km individual pursuit.
