DOHA, Dec. 6 (Xinhua) -- Former world record holder Qi Hui defended the women's 200m breaststroke title at the Asian Games here on Wednesday as China had a one-two finish.

Qi stormed to the finish in two minutes 23.93 seconds as the Athens Olympic Games sixth-place finisher took her second title here. Qi claimed the 400m individual medley on Sunday.

"I am very happy with my time. Before the race, I planned to swim within 2:24.00 and I made it," said the 21-year-old Qi, who created a world record in 2:22.29 in national championships five years ago.

Australian Leisel Jones beat Qi's mark in 2:22.44 in 2004 and she now holds the record in 2:20.54 set in February.

Luo Nan bagged the silver in 2:27.49 after she rallied her teammates to win the 4x100m medley relay here.

Jung Seul Ki of South Korea, 18, was third, 3.89 adrift of the title.
