Venezuela's presidential elections ends
CARACAS, Dec. 3 (Xinhua) -- Venezuela's
presidential election, in which President Hugo Chavez sought another six-year
term, ended at 4:00 p.m. local time (2000 GMT) on Sunday.
About 16 million citizens were registered to vote in
the more than 33,002 polling booths, installed in 11,118 polling stations across
the country.
The first official result will be published at 7:00
p.m. local time (2300 GMT).
Presidential poll kicks off in
Venezuela
CARACAS, Dec. 3 (Xinhua) -- Voting started on Sunday in
Venezuela in a presidential poll that is widely expected to give another
six-year term to incumbent President Hugo Chavez.
The voting, which started at 6:00 a.m. local time
(1000 GMT) in around 11,118 polling stations in all 23 states plus capital
Caracas, will end at 4:00 p.m. (2000 GMT).
