DOHA, Dec. 3 (Xinhua) -- The President of the Olympic Council of Asia Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad Al-Sabah has called upon athletes to go all out for world record-breaking performance at the Asian Games, saying that it will add value to the success of the regional sporting event.

"Based on the operation, transportation, accommodation, food, I think Qatar has a very excellent theme to make comfortable conditions for everybody," Sheikh Ahmad told reporters when he toured the Main Media Center of the Doha Asian Games.

"Now we hope our athletes, the NOCs, will start adding value to the Games through the results."

Sheikh Ahmad, who is an International Olympic Committee (IOC) member for Kuwait, said that he was happy to see a few Asian records fall after two day's competition, but he hopes more to come.

"I hope also to have a new World record in some of our events," he said.
