DOHA, Dec. 3 (Xinhua) -- Chinese women followed men's footprint to lift their ninth consecutive gymnastics team title at Asiad, beating DPR Korea to the second place with a large margin at Aspire Stadium of Doha on Sunday.

China collected total of 239.400 points, 10.850 ahead of the silver takers DPK Korea (228.550). Japan finished third in 225.950points. South Korea ranked fourth on 215.650 points.

China is likely to clean sweep all the gymnastics titles on women's disciplines by leading the five individual events in qualifications. Cheng Fei, the triple world champion at Aarhus worlds, is ranked the first in vault; He Ning leads the uneven bars; Zhang Nan heads the beam and all of five top scorers are from China on this apparatus; Cheng Fei and Pang Panpan tops the floor exercise.

China established their lead just after the first apparatus on vault by 0.850 points. DPK Korea's only stronghold came at the uneven bars after China's Pang and Zhou made errors of dismounting, where they grasped 57.650 points, 0.300 points better than China in the sole discipline.

But China rallied back to set up a large edge through their superb beam actions by taking in 63.400 points against DPK Korea's56.900 to cushion more than 7.050 points advantage heading for the final apparatus of floor exercise.

China geared up to expand their superiority on the floor and won the title by an edge of 10.850 points to be crowned on team event.

China's triple world champion Cheng Fei scored 15.700 points on floor by a set of flawless and elegant performance to boast the best mark of the night.

Cheng Fei is confident to re-act her refulgence in Aarhus. "Two DPR Korean gymnasts are practising the vault of my signature, but I think I can do better on action accuracy and stability of landing. I am not afraid of their challenge, but I believe they are improving," said Cheng Fei.

"I made a mistake when I was dismounting from the uneven bars. The landing is an persistent problem for me which I did not resolved before attending the Games, so I made the same mistake today," said Pang Panpan.
