GAZA, Nov. 30 (Xinhua) -- An extremist Islamic group
in Gaza calling itself "the swords of Islam" claimed responsibility on Thursday
for attacking and destroying internet cafes and shops that sell cassette tapes.
The group said in a leaflet sent to reporters that its members detonated homemade bombs and fired missiles at
internet cafes and stores used for selling songs.
"The stores were attacked, because they occupy the
minds of a complete generation of youths, instead of spending their time in
Jihad and worshipping, to serve the interests of the Jews and the Crusaders,"
said the leaflet.
The group said they burned and destroyed 12 stores
after their owners failed to take seriously to their frequent warnings.
The extremist Islamic group also claimed
responsibility to have attacked a woman who didn't wear veil.
