BEIJING, Nov. 30 -- AC Milan moved into the Italian Cup quarterfinals after a 2-1 win at Serie B club Brescia on Tuesday earned it a 6-3 aggregate victory.

Milan, which came back from two goals down to win the first-leg 4-2, took the lead in the 15th minute when Brazilian striker Ricardo Oliveira headed in a corner from French midfielder Yoann Gourcuff.

Five minutes later the tie was virtually over when Brescia defender Davide Zoboli put a Gourcuff cross into his own goal. Zoboli protested that he had been pushed by Milan forward Marco Borriello as he moved to clear the cross.

Brescia pulled a goal back two minutes before the interval with Slovak forward Marek Hamsik producing a composed finish from the edge of the area.

After the break Milan, which rested several first-team regulars, risked conceding an equalizer with Zoboli going close with a bicycle kick that struck the bar.

"These are games you have to play and it was a balanced, even game that we did well to win," Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti said.

Cup holders Inter Milan was to host Messina at the San Siro late yesterday with Roberto Mancini's side expecting to build on a 1-0 lead from the first leg.

AS Roma is at home to Serie B club Triestina, which was beaten 1-2 in the first leg.

In England, Sheffield United striker Danny Webber headed a controversial winner with two minutes left to give the visitors a 1-0 victory at fellow Premier League strugglers Watford on Tuesday.

Webber was in an offside position when he nodded home after Chris Morgan's header from a freekick had come off the bar. Sheffield had earlier been guilty of missing several good chances with forward Rob Hulse hitting the post from three meters.

In a stormy clash, Watford defender Chris Powell was sent off for a second booking in injury time while there was controversy as Watford's ball boys used towels to dry the ball for the home side's throw-ins but not the visitors'.

Sheffield manager Neil Warnock complained to the officials and even produced his own towel in the second half.

The Yorkshire club remains in the bottom three on goal difference but is level on 13 points with Blackburn Rovers and Newcastle United. Watford is second bottom with nine points.

In the English second division, Preston North End moved top after drawing 1-1 with Coventry City while deposed leader Cardiff slumped 0-3 at Stoke City.

Burnley is up to fourth after a 2-1 win over 10-man Leeds United which, combined with Barnsley's 2-0 victory over bottom club Southend, pushed Denis Wise's side into the bottom three.
