Special report:Tension escalates in Iraq
BAGHDAD, Nov. 29 (Xinhua) - Two people were killed and seven others injured when a roadside bomb went off near a major parking lot in central Baghdad on Wednesday, a well informed police source said.
"A roadside bomb detonated near a passing police patrol outside the crowded garage of al-Nahdah in central Baghdad, killing two civilians and wounding seven others, including two policemen," the source told Xinhua on condition of anonymity.
The attack damaged several cars and nearby shops, the source added.
Violence rages in Iraq as sectarian killings, car bombings, and roadside bombs cause dozens of Iraqi casualties daily.
