ISLAMABAD, Nov. 27 (Xinhua) -- Pakistan Army and Royal Saudi Land Forces (RSLF) on Monday launched Joint Military Exercise at Bahawalpur in eastern Punjab province, Pakistani military said.
The Exercise codenamed "AL-SAMSAAM-2" (Sharp Sword) is a sequel to the series of exercises which are routinely carried out from time to time between the two Armed Forces, an army statement said.
A mechanized contingent of RSLF and elements of Armor, Infantry, Artillery, Air Defense, Aviation and Air Force are participating from Pakistan Armed Forces, the statement said.
The three-week-long exercise is being conducted "with a view to enhancing cooperation and understanding between the two Armed Forces and to allow sharing of experiences in the field of military operations," said the statement.
