GAZA, Nov. 20 (Xinhua) -- A
fresh Israeli air raid targeted a car in eastern Gaza City on Monday evening,
killing two Hamas militants on board and wounding four bystanders, Palestinian
medics and witnesses said.
Witnesses said that an Israeli reconnaissance drone
fired one air-to-ground missile on a car driving in Gaza City's eastern
neighborhood of Sheja'eya.
A huge explosion was caused in the wake of the
airstrike, said the witnesses, adding that flames and black smoke were seen
coming out from the targeted car.
They added that ambulances rushed to the scene and
shifted the six casualties to Shiffa Hospital in Gaza City.
Joma'a al-Saqqa, a medical staff in the hospital,
told reporters that two were killed and four civilians were wounded, including
two children who were moderately wounded.
He added that the two slain militants are from Izz
el-Deen al-Qassam Brigades, an armed wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement, or
Hamas.
No immediate comments on the attack are available from the Israeli military, who said that they are checking the news.
