JAKARTA, Nov. 17 (Xinhua) -- The Indonesian
government has urged anti-Bush protesters to prevent their moves from turning
violence and humiliating the symbols of any country, Foreign Ministry said here
Friday.
Spokesman of the ministry Destra Percaya said
Indonesia would not ban any demonstration against the U.S. President George
Walker Bush before and during his visit which starts on Monday.
"We call the actions to be delivered in a peaceful
way, no anarchy, and it should be carried out without contempt of symbols of
country," he told a press conference at the ministry office here.
Recently, the U.S. embassy in Jakarta has warned
against protesters' violence during Bush's visit.
Frequent small protests against Bush's visit have
mounted recently in Indonesia, triggered by protesters' hatred of the U.S. roles
in Palestine and Iraq affairs.
