Special report:Tension escalates in Iraq
BAGHDAD, Nov. 15 (Xinhua) -- At least eight people were killed and 32 others wounded when a car bomb went off in central Baghdad on Wednesday, a well-informed police source told Xinhua.
"Our latest report said that up to eight people were killed and 32 others wounded when a car bomb parking near the Gailani gas station in Bab al-Sharji area," the source said on condition of anonymity.
According to the source, the attack took place at around 10:00 a.m. (0700 GMT), which also damaged several civilian cars and nearby buildings.
Earlier police reports said that six people were killed and seven others wounded.
