BAGHDAD, Nov. 14 (Xinhua) -- Ten people were killed and 25 others wounded when a car bomb went off in a central Baghdad commercial area on Tuesday, an Interior Ministry source said.
"A car parked in the al-Amin Intersection near Shourjah market detonated at about 1:45 p.m. (1045 GMT)," the source told Xinhua on condition of anonymity.
The blast also damaged several cars, the source added.
Earlier, gunmen kidnapped more than 100 employees of the Higher Education Ministry in Nidhal Street in Karradah district.
