Special report: Israel launches Gaza assault
GAZA, Nov. 12 (Xinhua) -- A Palestinian teenager was
killed and another security officer was injured on Sunday morning after an
Israeli aircraft fired a missile at a homemade rockets launcher in northern Gaza
Strip, witnesses said.
The witnessed said that Ibrahim Abu Namou, 16, was
riding on a cart pulled by a donkey and as soon as he approached the launcher in
the area, the missile fired from a drone killed him and wounded another national
security officer at the spot.
A Palestinian ambulance took the body of the teenager
and the wounded officer to a hospital near Jabalia in northern Gaza Strip.
Meanwhile, another Palestinian, who was seriously injured last week in the town
of Beit Hanoun in northern Gaza Strip by Israeli troops' gunfire, died of his
wounds in an Israeli hospital Sunday morning, medics said.
In early November, the Israeli army carried out a
one-week military ground operation called the Autumn Clouds, during which at
least 85 Palestinians were reportedly killed and more than 300
wounded.
