BAGHDAD, Nov. 12 (Xinhua) -- Two bombs, which hit almost simultaneously, killed four civilians and wounded 10 more in central Baghdad on Sunday, said a security official.
The bombings took place at 8 a.m. (0500 GMT) on a major highway passing by the city center and several commuters were killed instantly.
Similar twin bomb attacks had occurred on Saturday in a market place in Baghdad with a car explosion followed by a road side bomb.
The past several days have witnessed a fresh surge of violence in the capital city and dozens of people were killed in bombing ors hooting attacks.
