Two pieces of Confucius-figured woodcarvings are seen in Xi'an, capital of northwest China's Shaanxi Province, Nov. 8, 2006. Among hundreds of pieces of Confucius-figured woodcarvings, none of them looks the same. As an ancient Chinese philosopher, educator and founder of Confucianism, Confucius (551 BC-479 BC) is recognized as one of the most famous historical and cultural figures in the world.
