UNITED NATIONS, Nov. 8 (Xinhua) -- The UN General Assembly on Wednesday passed a resolution that urges the lifting of sanctions imposed by the United States against Cuba.

    The assembly adopted the resolution with 183 in favor, 4 against, and 1 abstention, calling on the United States to end its42-year-old economic, commercial and financial embargo against Cuba.
