    NEW YORK, Nov. 7 (Xinhua) -- U.S. Democratic Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton won a second term in the Senate on Tuesday, U.S. media reported.

Irregularities reported in voting in U.S. midterm elections

    WASHINGTON, Nov. 7 (Xinhua) -- Some irregularities and problems were reported in Tuesday's midterm elections in the United States, in which all 435 House seats were up for grabs and 33 seats in the Senate were to be reelected.

    In Virginia, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) was conducting a preliminary probe into allegations that some voters in eight counties had received deceptive phone calls before Election Day, CNN reported. Full story>>

Democrats win Ohio, Pennsylvania Senate seats, keep New Jersey

    WASHINGTON, Nov. 7 (Xinhua) -- The Democrats have captured Senate seats from the Republicans in Ohio and Pennsylvania, while keeping the New Jersey Senate seat from a Republican challenge in Tuesday's midterm legislative elections.

Democrats fight to recapture control of both chambers in U.S. midterm elections

    WASHINGTON, Nov. 7 (Xinhua) -- Polls closed in some U.S. states on Tuesday, with indications that the Democrats could wrest control of the House of Representatives away from President George W. Bush's Republicans, amid voters' calls for a new policy in Iraq.
