BEIJING, Nov. 5 (Xinhua) -- Some negative reports by certain international media on Africa-China strategic relations of cooperation are not correct, and the international society should rightly treat the relations as well as the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation.

Ethiopian Foreign Minister Seyoum Mesfin made the remark at a press conference here Sunday, following a two-day landmark summit between Chinese and African leaders.

Seyoum said many of the Western media reports on the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation were "negative and tainted", and it is untrue to say China disregards the wrongdoings of some African countries that have partnership with China.

African countries and China are jointly pursuing the common value concept of mankind, including human rights, he said.

Although the partnership between Africa and China is not perfect, the two sides are capable of correctly dealing with all kinds of problems including the problem of governance, he said.

The goal of this summit is mutual benefit and win-win, which is not only for Africa and China, but also for the international society as a whole, he said.
