    BAGHDAD, Oct. 30 (Xinhua) -- Saddam Hussein's chief lawyer Monday walked out of the court after his requests were rejected by the chief judge, while U.S. soldiers' death toll in October breached the 100 benchmark amid surging violence.

    

    BAGHDAD, Oct. 18 (Xinhua) -- Iraqi former president Saddam Hussein's genocide trial against the Kurds in 1980s resumed on Wednesday during which Kurdish witnesses told the court how they survived a massacre by Saddam's death squad. 


    BAGHDAD, Oct. 17 (Xinhua) -- The trial of the Iraqi former president Saddam Hussein and six of his aides on charges of genocide against Kurds in 1980s resumed on Tuesday, during which the deposed Iraqi leader accused the witnesses of sowing division among Iraqis.

    BAGHDAD, Oct. 16 (Xinhua) -- The Iraqi court trying the former leader Saddam Hussein and seven of his aides on charges of crimes against humanity on Dujail case may announce its verdict over the crimes on Nov. 5, a court official said on Monday.
