NANNING, Oct. 29 (Xinhua) - Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong arrived here on Sunday to attend a China-ASEAN summit slated for October 30 in Nanning, capital of south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
The summit is to mark the 15th anniversary of the China-ASEAN dialogue relations. Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao and leaders from ASEAN countries will attend the summit.
Lee will also attend the third China-ASEAN Expo to be opened on October 31.
Lee said before his departure to China that comprehensive progress has been made in various fields of cooperation since China and the ASEAN began regular dialogue 15 years ago, and that such cooperation will benefit the whole region and the world.
He said Singapore will play a constructive role in promoting the development of China-ASEAN relationship.
Before arriving in Nanning, Lee visited Guangzhou, capital of south China's Guangdong Province, and Chengdu, capital of southwest China's Sichuan Province.
