29 killed in accident in mid-western Nepal

    KATHMANDU, Oct. 28 (Xinhua) -- At least 29 people were killed Saturday morning when a passenger bus met an accident at Bhatta river in Salyan district in mid-western Nepal, a leading news media group's website, eKantipur.com report.

    According to the website, the bus bound for Tulsipur, Dang from Bangelakhuri in Salyan, some 400 km west of Kathmandu was carrying around 60 passengers.

    Most of the survivors of the accident have sustained varying degrees of injuries and the death toll might rise, report said.

    The wounded are being brought to Tulsipur for treatment.
