KUNMING, Oct. 26 (Xinhua) -- Southwest China's Yunnan Province,which borders Myanmar, Vietnam and Laos, recorded 1.59 billion U.S. dollars in trade with ASEAN members in the first three quarters this year, a year-on-year growth of 37.6 percent.
According to local customs sources, the total included 1.156 billion U.S. dollars in export volume, up 42.8 percent, and 439 million U.S. dollars in import volume, up 25.4 percent. Trade surplus was 717 million U.S. dollars.
Between January and September, Yunnan earned 246 million U.S. dollars from selling 70,000 tons of non-ferrous metals to ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) members. And the figures were 120 percent and 99.8 percent higher than those of the same period last year.
Myanmar and Singapore remained the top two trade partners of the province, the sources said. Enditem
