KABUL, Oct. 22 (Xinhua) -- Unknown militants set on
fire the office of a Swedish funded aid agency in Afghanistan's east central
province of Wardak, a state-run newspaper reported Sunday.
"The enemies alighted the office of the Swedish
Committee Friday night destroying two rooms," daily Anis quoted provincial
police chief General Mahboobullah Amiri as saying.
Blaming the enemies of peace a term used against
Taliban fighters for the attack and added police arrested three persons in this
regard.
Swedish Committee is one of the oldest
non-governmental organizations assisting Afghans in different fields including
health, education and agriculture over the past two nearly decades.
Taliban militias have yet to make
any comment but the militants have torched some
schools on charge of teaching un-Islamic curriculums in the past.
