China: UN move should help resolve Korean nuclear issue

    BEIJING, Oct. 15 (Xinhua) -- China hopes the UN Security Council will move to indicate the firm stand of the international community and help create conditions for peaceful solution of the Korean nuclear issue, Foreign Ministry spokesman Liu Jianchao said Sunday.

    UNITED NATIONS, Oct. 14 (Xinhua) -- The United Nations Security Council on Saturday unanimously adopted a resolution imposing sanctions against the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK)for its recent nuclear test.
