policy
Warsaw, Oct. 5 (Xinhua) -- Visiting Russian Foreign
Minister Sergei Lavrov said Thursday that to end the conflict between Russia and
Georgia the authorities in Tbilisi must give up their "anti-Russian policy," the
PAP news agency reported.
"Steps must be taken. But above all they must be
taken by the authorities in Georgia which must give up their anti-Russian policy
and try to seek a peaceful solution of the conflict," the Russian minister told
reporters in Warsaw on Thursday.
Relations have been worsened considerably between
Tbilisi and Moscow when last week the Georgian authorities detained four Russian
officers and accused them of spying.
Russia then recalled its ambassador to Georgia and
imposed economic sanctions on the country.
All detained Russian officers have been released. Enditem
