GAZA, Oct. 4 (Xinhua) -- Two Palestinians were killed
on Wednesday night in an Israeli aircraft airstrike carried out by rockets on a
car that drove east of the southern Gaza Strip city of Khan Younis, one was
seriously injured, medics and eyewitnesses said.
The witnesses said that the car, which was full of
three militants, drove at al-Manara area east of the city, adding that two
aerial rockets were fried from an Israeli aircraft directly at the car.
They said that after the car was targeted dozens rushed towards the car and
took out the bodies of two Palestinians and they were immediately taken to
Nasser Hospital in the city.
Palestinian security sources said that the two killed are members in Saraya
al-Quds, the armed wing of the Islamic Jihad (Holy war).
Earlier Wednesday, the group claimed responsibility
for launching two homemade rockets from Gaza Strip at southern Israel. But no
injuries or damages were reported in Israel, according to Israel Radio.
