Special report: Tension escalates in Iraq

     BAGHDAD, Oct. 2 (Xinhua) -- Two explosion charges went off and demolished a building in a Baghdad downtown district, a well-informed police source told Xinhua.

    The building collapsed on a busy street in the Battaween neighborhood, wounding four people, the source said according to initial police reports.

    Iraqi security forces and rescue teams rushed to the area to evacuate those injured and searching for more possible casualties.Enditem
