BANGKOK, Oct. 1 (Xinhua) -- The King of Thailand has
signed the Interim Constitution drafted and submitted by the Council for
Democratic Reform (CDR), the CDR announced on TV Sunday morning.
The interim charter takes effect on October 1 until a
new constitution is drafted and signed by the King, the report said.
The royal command states that the CDR annulled the
previous charter after the Sept. 19 coup, so that a new charter could be
drafted, the announcement said. Enditem
