Special
report: Iran Nuclear Crisis
BEIJING, Sept. 28 -- Talks with the European Union
over Iran's alleged nuclear programs continue in Berlin on Thursday. EU
officials say discussions so far have been "very intense".
Freign policy chief Javier Solana met Iran's chief
nuclear negotiator Ali Larijani for more than five hours in the German capital.
They're expected to reconvene on Thursday morning. Germany plus the five
permanent UN Security Council members have offered Iran economic and political
incentives in exchange for stopping uranium enrichment. But Iran says its
purpose is to generate electricity and has so far refused to halt them. If it
doesn't stop, the U.S., France, Germany and Britain will call for UN sanctions.
