Special report: Internal situation in Palestine

GAZA, Sept. 26 (Xinhua) -- An Israeli warplane on Tuesday evening stroke an air-to-ground missile on a Palestinian house in the town of Rafah in southern Gaza Strip, causing no injuries, security sources and eyewitnesses reported.

The witnesses said that they heard the sound of Israeli warplanes flying over the town closed to the borders between southern Gaza Strip and Egypt, and a huge explosion was immediately heard.

The missile has completely destroyed the house, but no injuries were reported among the Palestinians in the area.

Palestinian security sources said that the house owner called Samir al-Sha'er, who was notified on the phone by an Israeli army officer informing him that he should evacuate his house because it would be destroyed.

Israel has been destroyed Palestinian houses and constructions in the Gaza Strip and the Israelis claimed that Palestinian militants are using these houses to store weapons used in attacking Israel.

The Palestinian Center for Human Rights in Gaza estimated that more than 45 houses had been destroyed over the past three months in the Gaza Strip. Enditem
