BAGHDAD,
Sept. 13 (Xinhua) -- A total of 14 people were killed and 57 others wounded when
a roadside bomb blast followed by a car bombing hit a traffic police
headquarters near Baghdad Stadium on Wednesday, a well-informed police source
said.
"According to our latest report, a total of 14 people
were killed and up to 57 others wounded, including two policemen killed and four
others wounded," the source told Xinhua on condition of anonymity.
"A roadside bomb went off at around 9:00 a.m. (0500
GMT) near the traffic police headquarters near the Baghdad's Shaab Stadium," the
source said.
"Shortly after, a car bomb detonated at the site when
people gathered," the source added.
Earlier, the police said that 10 people were killed
and 33 others wounded in a roadside bomb blast targeted a police patrol.
