GAZA, Sept. 10 (Xinhua) -- Hamas-led government
spokesman Ghazi Hamad said that President Mahmoud Abbas and Prime Minister
Ismail Haneya met in Gaza Sunday night and the meeting "was positive."
Hamad told reporters that the meeting lasted for several hours, and there were many positive factors related to
forming a coalition government.
"The meeting was positive and fruitful. The
atmosphere was encouraging and satisfactory and the meeting was in the right
direction," Hamad said.
"Many obstacles were overcome, and both agreed to
hold another meeting soon."
According to sources of Abbas' Office, the meeting
focused on recent meetings between Abbas and senior European diplomats. The
sources said that political platform of a national unity government shadowed the
meeting between Abbas and Haneya. Enditem
